Kristen Bedell began her career in antique carpets more than 20 years ago, assisting her grandfather, Archie Jamgotchian, in his Oriental rug gallery in Cornwall, Connecticut. After many years of specializing exclusively in the sourcing of antique and decorative rugs for her private and corporate clients, Kristen broadened her creative and professional focus to design residential interiors. Her early training in the complex interactions of colors, patterns and textures provides the foundation from which she approaches interior design. She employs a mix of antiques, custom-designed contemporary furniture and fixtures along with nuanced palettes to create interiors that are elegant yet comfortable, mixing style and function to ensure livable spaces tailored to each client's personality and lifestyle. Today, the firm offers a range of services from full-scale interior design and project management to the careful selection of antique rugs and integration of these pieces into the overarching design of a home.
Kristen holds a BA from Wellesley College, an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Certificate of Interior Design from Parsons. She divides her time between New York City and Cornwall, Connecticut.
